Step 6 Presentation 1. Tell the Ss First aid is necessary and useful. But the most important is to avoid the accidents effectively.
2. Present things can be dangerous at home. Ask the Ss to think about how to prevent them happening.

1.通過教師展示圖片和學生的自由討論使學生了解有效防范家庭中常見事故發(fā)生的措施.為后面的討論起到引路的作用。
2.讓學生就家庭內注意人身安全這一話題提出肯定或者否定的建議，使學生能夠熟練使用should， ought to， must，have to以及它們的否定形式。

（1st period）
這是一堂聽說課. 高中英語新課程標準明確指出:高中英語課程要特別著重培養(yǎng)學生用英語獲取信息、處理信息和傳達信息的能力、分析問題和解決問題的能力以及用英語進行思維和表達的能力。聽說是學習英語的一項重要的語言實踐活動。
本單元以First aid為話題，使學生了解相關急救知識，學會遇到不同的意外事件能采取相應的急救措施。本節(jié)課作為本單元的第一堂課，主要是為后面的閱讀和寫作作鋪墊。因此我充分挖掘和整合教材，將本堂課設計成三大環(huán)節(jié)：
1、了解生活中常見意外事故的種類；
2、面對意外事故如何進行簡單有效的急救；
3、 關鍵是在日常生活中要盡力避免意外事故的發(fā)生。
a) 新穎的導入，激發(fā)學生的學習愿望和興趣
采用教師裝扮成受傷者讓學生猜測可能發(fā)生在教師身上的事故，直奔主題。且不同的猜測又為后面學習常見事故種類作了鋪墊。當學生明白老師并非真正受傷而只是joking時既消除了課堂的緊張氣氛，又激發(fā)了學生的學習興趣。
b) 采用“任務型”的教學途徑，發(fā)揮學生的主體作用，培養(yǎng)其綜合運用語言的能力。
根據學習內容設計的每一步（聽、說、討論和pair work group work ）均以完成不同的任務而展開，且層層深入。注意發(fā)揮學生的主體作用，采用多種課堂交際方式，設計了內容豐富、形式多樣、有趣又有實效性的課堂活動與任務。
c) 注意培養(yǎng)學生的情感因素，有效滲透德育教育。在整個教學過程中注意培養(yǎng)學生的情感因素，這也是課程所要求的。
1 如：在How to give first aid ?環(huán)節(jié)中，當他人遇到意外事故時，do something to help them, 培養(yǎng)學生的愛心與責任感。
2 在第三大環(huán)節(jié)中，如何避免意外的發(fā)生，培養(yǎng)學生樹立安全意識和防范意識。
d) 有效發(fā)揮多媒體的作用，提高課堂教學效益。
注：本教學設計是于2005年11月23---25日參加北師大附校系統(tǒng)青年教師優(yōu)質課巡講展示活動時所設計的一堂高二英語聽說課，分別在北京140中學、北京大興榆垡中學和河北唐山市第23中學作了展示，但由于這三所學校的學生層次均不同，因此授課時根據對象不同做了部分細節(jié)改動。
